Hi! I'm Avigdor Paperno, a Software Engineer with 8+ years of experience working at the intersection of backend and embedded — building production backend systems that talk to physical devices, and writing firmware for the devices themselves.

My core stack:

• Backend: Python and Django, mostly — REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Docker, CI/CD

• Embedded: C++ and MicroPython on ESP32, Arduino and Raspberry Pi

• In between: getting devices and backends to talk to each other — MQTT, Kafka, Linux, integrating third-party hardware and APIs

Where I've worked on both sides: voice-assistant applications running on TV-box hardware at SberDevices, camera streaming and capture systems at Artek Electronics, and DDoS testing infrastructure at MazeBolt. I also author the "C++" and "IoT" courses for Yandex Lyceum, including an automated grading system built on a microcontroller simulator.

This intersection is exactly what I'm looking for — IoT Backend, Device Integration, Embedded Backend or Systems Integration roles, where the job is connecting hardware to software rather than staying on one side of it.
